Baseball 101 For Coaches

Thank you for volunteering your time and energy to teach the game of baseball to our youth. As you know, coaching youngsters carries with it a great deal of responsibility. As a coach, you wear many different hats. You are a teacher, a mentor, a communicator, a confidant, a role model. The youngsters look to you for proper instruction, guidance, and support. Your coaching methods, practice routines, game management, attitude, and deportment will have a major impact on your players. Your leadership in games, practices, and special team events will directly influence the development of your athletes as baseball players, as teammates, and as individuals.

Your coaching decisions and coaching style will determine in large measure how much fun your players have.

We love the game of baseball. We here at Learnbaseball.us want to see the game played properly and played well. We want young players to learn how to play the game the right way, and have fun doing it.

As experienced professional baseball scouts, we have observed many youth-level games and practices throughout the United States and Canada. Some of what we have seen has been good, but frankly, much of it has been sub-standard. Together, we need to do a better job teaching the fundamentals of the game to our youth and making practices more productive and more enjoyable.

How can we help? What do we offer?
